Would you like to listen to WVYC, but are unable to receiver our broadcast signals?
We invite you to listen to one of our Internet Broadcast Audio Streams. Just click on one of the links below to listen to FM, AM, or the low bandwidth FM audio stream if you are using a dial up service. If a link doesn't take you anywhere, it probably means a computer crashed. Please call (717) 815-1311, for FM control or (717) 815-1453 for AM control, and ask the announcer to re-start the stream so you can listen. After you click on the link below, you might have to click on the 'LISTEN' button at the top of the page depending on audio player you are using. We also program a third music stream for listeners that do not have high speed internet service.
Please visit www.shoutcast.com to see which of our links are presently active on the Shoutcast directory.
We are streaming using standard MP3 audio streams. You should be able to listen using Winamp, RealPlayer, QuickTime, Windows Media Player or any other MP3 player. Some players do not recognize the 'listen.pls' extension. You might have to cut and paste the URL into the player without the extension. Please stop your player when you are not actually listening to help York College save bandwidth and allow others to listen. (We do have limited resources.)
Please do not contact us with any questions about ripping music from our web streams. We will not assist you in any way with your attempt to copy our music with stream ripping programs. Broadcasters would like to prohibit these programs because they allow listeners to steal music that we have paid thousands of dollars to ASCAP, BMI, SESAC and the RIAA in royalties. When you copy music from licensed broadcast stations you are putting the entire future of streaming radio in jeopardy. If this continues, the music industry will prohibit us, and all licensed broadcast stations, from streaming copyrighted music. WVYC will ban any IP address we know is ripping music from our streams.
