Mr. Gibson has been employed at York College since September of 1972 and started WVYC-FM in 1976. In addition to teaching, he supervises and manages the Telecommunications Department, Campus Cable Television System and the Distance Learning Center. Off campus, Tom is a Commissioner and Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America, Vice President and Director of Engineering of the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System, an active member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers with an FCC First Class Broadcast License, a summer camp activity director and an active Advanced Class, Amateur Radio Operator. Tom also operates the Shohola Museum of Communications and Technology and has an extremely unique family ancestry. He is an active member and officer of the York Chapter of the Son's of the American Revolution, President of the Pennsylvania Please visit the home page or click on one of the blue lines for additional information. Tom recently celebrated his 60th birthday and was recognized for 50 years service at Camp Shohola with a gold watch, rocking chair and "ARGUS" dedication.
