All interested York College students are invited to join "The largest organization on campus."

With 18 active departments and an eclectic, fun-loving communications group of students, there is certainly something enjoyable for you to do at WVYC.

New members can be on the air almost immediately or may select one of the many off-air support departments.

All York College students are encouraged to join us at our first staff meeting of the Fall 2013 semester.  Watch this space for details.

Please bring a friend along with you to the meeting!

A special thank you and congratulations to all WVYC students recognized for outstanding service last semester, in addition to our new elected E-Board members for the 2013-14 academic year.   Your dedication and hard work is appreciated.

The WVYC staff returned from the 2013 IBS National Convention in NYC with six prestigious awards. We received a trophy for first place in the category of "The Station With the Best Use of Social Media" and our Production Director, Scott Ciaccia received a first place trophy for the "Best Production Director in the Nation". The News Department was a finalist for our hurricane coverage in the category of "Best News Feature" and the Web/IT department was a finalist for the "Best Website Award". We were one of only three stations in the United States to receive the "Platinum Microphone Award", for attaining the highest level of broadcasting excellence among all college and university stations in the country and we finished second place for the final award of "Best Station in the Nation at a College or University with and enrollment with less than 10,000 students". Out of more than 1000 member stations, we are obviously very happy with this national recognition for our station operations.
